The re-cycling of furniture is an important tenant in new green building and design movement. Rescuing
a door is an easy way to save on renovations, aid the environment, and put a unique touch on any room.
Re-cycled doors can come from a wide variety of sources. Some company’s specialize in eco-friendly
construction waste disposal, and well sell useable, doors, windows, and other furniture salvaged from
renovations at low rates. You can also just take a trip to the dump or lumber yard and poke around.
Far and away the biggest benefit to re-cycling a door is the wide variety of one of kind doors available
for little cost. You can find industrial exterior doors, quant farms doors, and vintage wood doors to fit
into that doorway in your house at a fraction of the cost of a new door.
Now although re-cycling a door has many rewards there are some things to look out for. For one, you
are usually unsuccessful if you go into your door searching experience with something specific in mind.
That’s where buying a new wood door may be the better option.
Although up-cycled doors are significantly cheaper than new doors, they usually require a bit of work.
